Police appeal as pedestrian dies after being struck by lorry on M8 near West Lothian

Police are appealing for information following the death of a pedestrian who was found injured on the M8 and died at the scene.

The tragic incident took place between junction five and six on the motorway, near West Lothian, at around 12.40pm on Thursday.

Emergency services were called to a report of a man injured on the motorway near Newhouse, North Lanarkshire. It has since been confirmed he was struck by a white Volvo HGV. Advertisement
