Scottish dad of son killed on motorway after Hearts game urges pals to ‘stick together’

The father of a Celtic supporter who tragically died on an English motorway after boarding the incorrect supporters' coach has made an urgent safety appeal to youngsters ahead of an inquest into his son's death.

John Burns, 22, was fatally struck by several vehicles on the M6 near Carlisle after alighting from the bus on September 14 last year.

The young father-of-one had watched Celtic's Scottish Premiership match against Hearts in Glasgow earlier that day before somehow finding himself in Carlisle. Advertisement Advertisement
