Tribute to Spennymoor mum after A66 crash as GoFundMe set up
Chloe Lightfoot, 33, died after a crash on A66 near Barnard Castle on Tuesday (August 26,), when her Citroen Berlingo van collided with a HGV just before 8am. Her heartbroken best friend Simone Goodchild, who has now set up a fundraiser to support her son Jax, seven, as he grows up without his mum,[1] said Chloe was 'loved by everyone'.
"Chloe was my best friend, she lit up every room she walked in, not just because of how beautiful she was but because her personality was so bubbly and witty. "She brought energy into every room, and she was just very funny. Everyone who met her instantly loved her.
She is going to be missed very much. "She was the person I would go to if I had a hard time, and she always made it better. so during this hard time I'd like to do as much as possible for her by helping her son."
Funeral costs are covered so the fundraising is solely to help Jax as he grows up without the mother who adored him.

We are going to miss her every day. "Our memories have never been so important to us as we try to come to terms with what has happened. "We love her so much.
She will never be forgotten." Earlier this week, Durham Police confirmed Chloe's family were being supported by specialist officers following the tragedy. The road was closed for several hours after the incident while crash investigators worked at the scene.
Police, fire, ambulance and air ambulance crews were all in attendance on Tuesday morning.
