Tributes paid to mother who died in crash

Tributes have been paid by a "heartbroken" family to a woman who died in an early morning crash involving a van and an HGV.

Chloe Lightfoot, 33, a mother of one who lived in Spennymoor, died on the A66 near Bowes, County Durham, following the collision at about 08:00 BST on Tuesday.

In a statement, her family said she was a "beautiful young woman who was a mother, daughter, granddaughter, sister, girlfriend and friend to many".

"To never see her smile again is breaking our hearts," they said. "We are going to miss her every day."
