Woman fined for driving at 72mph on M4
Kelly Stubbs, 43, of Mill Lane, Swindon, had been travelling in a Vauxhall Mokka Ultimate Turbo on the M5 junction 17 and 16 northbound and the M4 junctions 19 to 20 on August 31, 2024. The 43-year-old appeared at Bath Law Courts on Tuesday, August 26, nearly a year after the offence, where she pleaded guilty to exceeding a variable speed limit.
She was fined GBP146 and handed three penalty points. Stubbs must also pay a surcharge of GBP58 and prosecution costs of GBP110. She is not the first motorist to be caught out by a variable speed limit[1] on the M4.
