65-year-old Cockermouth man who died in A66 crash identified
The crash was reported at 9.57am on September 9 and involved a grey Volkswagen Golf, a Scania HGV, and a blue Volkswagen Caddy panel van. John Toynbee, 65, of Cockermouth, was the driver of the Volkswagen Golf and was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash. The driver of the Volkswagen Caddy van was taken to West Cumberland Hospital for further assessment and has been discharged.
