An A-road is closed in both directions following a serious collision.

National Highways said the A12 was closed between Newbourne Road (Brightwell Corner) and Junction 58 on the A14 (Seven Hills), to the north of Ipswich.

It added that Suffolk Police was at the scene and dealing with the incident.

Drivers were thanked for their patience.
