A34 crash: Road re-opens following crash with car and lorry
On Sunday, 14 September, National Highways made commuters of Winchester and surrounding areas aware of a closure on the A34 northbound, due to a collision involving a car and a lorry. The collision that happened in the early hours of Sunday morning resulted in diversions on the M3 and emergency barrier repairs. A Hampshire Police[1] spokesperson said: "Police were called at 5.09pm on Sunday September 14 to a report of a collision Easton Lane roundabout, just before the A34.
"The collision involved a car and a lorry and two people reported minor injuries." Later, National Highways confirmed that the emergency barrier repairs, causing the delays, were completed during the early hours of Monday, September 15. A spokesperson from National Highways said: "I can advise the barriers were repaired overnight and the carriageway reopened at around 4.20am."
No further information has been provided about those involved in the collision.
