A4 crash near Marlborough sees person cut from car
Dorset and Wiltshire Fire Service appliances from Marlborough and Pewsey responded to an incident on the A4 Bath Road at Clatford at 3.12pm this afternoon (September 10). Upon arriving, crews found two cars and a flatbed lorry had been involved in the incident. Firefighters used cutting tools to free a person who had become trapped in one of the vehicles, leaving them in the care of the ambulance service.
The fire service left the scene just before 5pm, confirming that the road remains closed in both directions. Suggested reading: A spokesperson for the service said: "We were called at 3:12pm today with reports of a road traffic collision on the A4 Bath Road, Clatford.
"Two fire appliances were mobilised, from Marlborough and Pewsey and on arrival found two cars and one flatbed lorry involved.
"Firefighters used hydraulic cutting equipment to release one person trapped in one of the cars and has been left in the care of the ambulance service.
"The stop came in at 4:49pm and the road is still closed in both directions."
