A500 crash investigation as ‘lorry and car collide’
Drivers are being warned to avoid part of the A500 as a crash investigation gets underway. Eye-witnesses say a lorry and car have collided at the junction of the D-road' slip-road[1] and Alsager Road near Audley.
An air ambulance was sent to the scene. A Staffordshire Police spokesman said: "We are currently at an incident Alsager Road, Audley at A500.

Drivers should take alternative routes. Thank you for your patience and understanding."
A live map from Google is showing queues on Alsager Road to the Mill End Lane junction.
Traffic monitoring site Inrix says: "Slip roads closed due to accident on A500 D Road Northbound at Alsager Road (Audley Turn Off).
Traffic is coping well."
