Caravan crash caused severe delays near Exeter

A vehicle towing a caravan was involved in a crash[1] on the A38[2] this afternoon (Monday, September 22) which caused severe delays. At 3.50pm, police were called to the A38 northbound near Kenn and close to Exeter[3] Racecourse. Traffic monitoring service Inrix reported: "Queueing traffic and one lane closed due to accident, caravan and lorry involved on A38 Devon Expressway Eastbound from Racecourse Junction to A380 Telegraph Hill (Splatford Split)."

The ambulance service was also called, although nobody involved is believed to have suffered any serious injuries.

Shortly after 7.30pm, all lanes were open on the A38.
