Dorset Police appeal after attempted damage to speed camera
The screws were located and removed by an officer before the van was driven and no damage was caused to the vehicle. Police Constable Kier Dagnall, of the Roads Policing Team, said: "We are carrying out enquiries into this incident, which could have resulted in severe damage to the vehicle and injury to the driver. "On average, six people are injured on the roads in Dorset every day.
Our safety camera team is integral as part of our drive to make the roads safer in our county and to prevent serious or fatal road traffic collisions. "I am now in a position to issue an image of a man we would like to identify as part of our enquiries and would ask anyone who recognises him to please come forward." Anyone with information is asked to contact Dorset Police online or by calling 101, quoting occurrence number 55250129925.
