Driver handed fine for driving at 57mph on M27

Bradley Wyatt was behind the wheel of a Ford on the westbound side of the M27 when his speed was recorded by an automatic camera device. The 27-year-old was driving at 57mph between junction 10 and nine near Fareham[1] on March 19, 2024. At the time of the incident a 50mph speed restriction was in force on the motorway, the court heard.

Wyatt, of Lapwing Way, Whiteley, admitted a charge of exceeding a variable speed limit on Thursday, August 28, at Southampton Magistrates' Court. Wyatt must also pay prosecution costs of ?130 and a ?106 surcharge, a total of ?502 to pay.

This was ordered to be paid in monthly instalments of ?45 starting from October 1.
