Driver taken to hospital after car crashes into tree
A driver has been taken to hospital after a car crashed into a tree in a Cambridgeshire village. Police officers and paramedics were called to High Side, Parson Drove, near Wisbech[1], at about 7pm on Tuesday (September 2). Cambridgeshire Constabulary said the blue Tesla Model 3, which was heading north towards Parson Drove, left the road and struck a tree.
The driver, a man in his 60s from Leverington, was taken to Addenbrooke's Hospital[2] suffering from serious injuries. There were no passengers in the car and no other vehicles were involved. Officers are now appealing for witnesses and dashcam footage.
A police appeal for information said: "Anyone who saw what happened or has dashcam footage of the collision, or the moments leading up to it, should use reference incident 440 and report it through the force website.[3]" To get more breaking news and top stories delivered directly to your phone, join our new WhatsApp community.
