Four Bolton drivers in court after being snapped by speed cameras

The motorists were caught by fixed cameras across the borough, including on the A666 St Peter's Way, Chorley New Road in Horwich and Manchester Road, Kearsley[1].  All four were driving in excess of the limits on the roads.  Donaldson Madungwe, aged 36, drove a Mercedes-Benz C-Class on Manchester Road in Kearsley at 61mph on November 3 last year - over double the speed limit of 30mph. 

Madungwe, of Greenwood Avenue, Swinton, pleaded guilty and was sentenced at Bolton Magistrates' on August 11.  He was given five points, an ?80 fine, ?120 in costs and a ?32 surcharge.  Rashida Adam, aged 67, drove a Range Rover on St Peter's Way[2] southbound at 61mph on November 9 last year.

The road has a 50mph limit.  Adam, of Kilworth Drive, Lostock, was sentenced at Bolton Magistrates' on August 6.  She was disqualified for six months, fined ?146 and ordered to pay ?120 costs and a ?58 surcharge.

Brian Wilson, aged 48, drove a Renault Master van on St Peter's Way southbound at 60mph on September 3 last year.  Wilson, of Peatfield Avenue, Swinton, pleaded guilty and was sentenced at Bolton Magistrates' on August 1.  He was given three points, fined ?100 and ordered to pay a ?40 surcharge. 

John Vose, aged 53, drove a Ford Transit van on Chorley New Road in Horwich at 37mph on October 26 last year. The limit on the road is 30mph.  Vose, of Babylon Lane, Heath Charnock, Chorley, was sentenced at Bolton Magistrates' on July 23. 

He was given three points, fined ?230 and ordered to pay ?120 costs and a ?92 surcharge. 

Vose avoided disqualification due to being a self-employed building contractor, employing two people who cannot drive his van.
