M20 London-bound closed between Junction 3 (M26), Addington Interchange, and Junction 1 (M25), Swanley Interchange, due to lorry fire

There are long delays on the M20 this morning due to a lorry fire. The M20 London-bound is closed between Junction 3 (M26), at the Addington Interchange, and Junction 1 (M25), at the Swanley interchange.

National Highways has confirmed Kent Fire and Rescue Service is in attendance. A spokesman said: "Delays are likely on approach to the closure and diversion routes."

It says there are currently delays of 50 minutes. Traffic analytics provider Inrix has also stated that there are 10 miles (40 minutes) of congestion on the A2 from the M2 Medway Viaduct past Gravesend, and A20 queues from Leybourne past Brands Hatch. Drivers are being told to use the M26 and M25 as a diversion.
