M4 live updates as accident causes second day of misery for drivers

Police were called to the scene of a crash at a busy M4 junction on Friday morning, just hours after the motorway reopened following an crash nearby between a car and a lorry.[1] The eastbound slip road for drivers joining the M4 at Junction 37, Pyle, was closed for around two hours as emergency services worked at the scene. The road reopened at around 10am.

A spokesperson for South Wales Police said: "We are at the scene of a collision on the M4 J37 Eastbound on slip. "The road is currently closed and It is expected to remain closed for some time. "Motorists are advised to avoid the area and use alternative routes where possible.

Delays are expected in the area."

The motorway was closed for hours on Thursday after an accident involving a car and a lorry.
