Major Cambs A-road closed after crash involving lorry and motorhome
The police are appealing for information following a crash on a major A-road on the Cambridgeshire[1] border. Emergency services were called to the A505 between Royston and Melbourn at around 3pm yesterday (Saturday, September 21). The police have confirmed there was a collision involving a car, a motorhome, and a lorry.
Cambridgeshire Fire and Rescue Service were also called to the scene. The road was closed to allow emergency services to attend to the area. Motorists were told to find alternative routes if travelling in the area.
The police are appealing for any information, dashcam footage, or anyone who may have witnessed the crash to come forward. Anyone with information can report it online, quoting incident 335 of 20 September. You can also call 101 if you do not have access to the internet.
A spokesperson for Cambridgeshire Police said: "We were called to a serious collision on the A505 between Royston and Melbourn at 3pm [on Saturday]. "The collision involved a car, a motorhome and a lorry - and the road is likely to be closed for the foreseeable. Motorists are advised to seek alternate routes.
