A man has suffered life-changing injuries after a two-vehicle crash[1] in Devon.

On Saturday, September 20, there was a two-vehicle crash on the A383 near Bickington.

Devon and Cornwall Police[2] attended the incident alongside the ambulance and fire services.

The police said it was called at 5.40pm.

The A383 Ashburton Road was closed between the A38 Goodstone Junction and the Wrigwell Combe turn-off[3], according to traffic monitoring site Inrix.

A man in his 60s suffered life-changing injuries due to the crash.

The A383 was reopened at around 11pm that night.

A spokesperson for Devon and Cornwall Police said: "We were called at 5.40pm on Saturday, September 20, following a report of a two-vehicle collision on the A383 near Bickington.

"The ambulance and fire services were also called and a road closure put in place.

"As a result of the collision, a man in his 60s suffered life-changing injuries.

"The road was reopened around 11pm."

Inrix had reported at the time of the crash that it involved a car and a van.

The A383 is a key route for motorists travelling to Newton Abbot[4].
