Mercedes driver’s ban for breaking temporary M5 speed limit
David Wright was captured by speed cameras breaking the temporary 50mph speed limit on the M5 near Worcester. Wright of Brushfield Way, Knaphill, Woking, had his case heard at Worcester Magistrates Court on Friday, August 15. The offence happened on November 25 last year on the M5 southbound between junctions 4a (Catshill Interchange) and junction 6 (Worcester) when a temporary 50mph speed restriction was in force.
Magistrates imposed a discretionary disqualification of 28 days and fined him GBP65.
He was also ordered to pay costs of GBP85 and a surcharge of GBP26.
A collection order was made and he was given until September 12 to pay.
