Motorist caught by automatic camera at 57mph on motorway is fined

Jimmy Chung was travelling between junctions 10 and 12 close to Reading across the border from Oxfordshire when he was clocked at 57mph. The 61-year-old, of Commercial Street, Kenfig Hill, Bridgend, was on the eastbound carriageway in a vehicle at the time of the incident on December 4 last year. Chung's case was heard at Oxford Magistrates' Court on September 4. The court heard how there had been a 50mph speed restriction in place at the time. Chung was found guilty after denying the charge and was ordered to pay costs of GBP300, a victim surcharge of GBP69 and a fine of GBP173.

He also received three penalty points.
