Person taken to hospital after A688 crash near Spennymoor
Emergency services attended the A688 southbound, near Spennymoor, after a crash at 9am today (September 20). One patient was taken to University Hospital of North Durham for further treatment. The vehicles being towed away(Image: THE NORTHERN ECHO) A North East Ambulance Service spokesperson confirmed they attended the incident.
They said: "We received a call at 9.05am on Saturday, September 20 to reports of a road traffic incident on the A688 southbound near Spennymoor. "We dispatched an ambulance crew to the scene and transported one patient to the University Hospital of North Durham (UHND) for further treatment." The road has been cleared and has now reopened.
