Police statement after A500 lorry crash

Police were called to an A500 [1] crash involving a car and a lorry. The crash happened near the Wolstanton Retail Park junction.

It happened at 5.40pm yesterday and caused evening rush-hour queues.

A Staffordshire Police [2] spokesman said: "We received a report of a collision on the A500 in Stoke-on-Trent, just before 5.40pm yesterday. The incident on the southbound carriageway near the Wolstanton Retail Park involved a car and a lorry.
