Sadness as man in 70s dies after three-vehicle crash on major A road
A man has died after a three-vehicle crash in Northumberland.
The collision happened on the A68 near Colwell, Northumberland at around 10.30am on Wednesday, August 27.
It involved a silver Vauxhall Corsa, a red farming quad bike, which were travelling south, and a white heavy goods vehicle, that was travelling north.

Emergency services confirmed two people were taken to hospital - a woman in her 80s with minor injuries and the man in his 70s with life-threatening injuries.
Sadly, the man died a short time later.
His next of kin have been informed and the family are receiving support from specially-trained officers.
The woman has since been discharged.

Northumbria Police is now investigating the collision, and are appealing for information.
Sergeant Christopher Herron of Northumbria Police said: "This is a tragic incident where a man has sadly lost his life.
"Our thoughts are with his family and loved ones at this incredibly difficult time, and we will continue to offer them any support we can. Advertisement

"Our investigation into the collision is ongoing, and we are now appealing for witnesses who could assist our enquiries to come forward.
"We are particularly keen to speak with drivers who were travelling in the area at the time, and to anyone who may have dashcam or CCTV footage.
"Any information - no matter how insignificant it may seem - could prove vital to our enquiries."
