Speed camera catches motorist doing twice the limit in Taunton
Terence Stainton, of Lavender Grove, appeared at Taunton Magistrates' Court on August 12. The 74-year-old was speeding on the A358 in Henlade in November 2024. He was driving at 59mph in a 30mph zone.
Stainton was given six points on his licence, which led to a points disqualification for six months. He was fined GBP384, ordered to pay GBP85 in costs and a GBP154 surcharge.
A MAN from Wellington[1] was caught by a speed camera on the A358 in Henlade in July 2024. Richard Andoh, of Weavers Reach, appeared at Taunton Magistrates' Court on August 8.
The 36-year-old was fined GBP396 and handed four penalty points on his driving licence for driving at 43mph on a 30mph road. Andoh was also ordered to pay GBP90 in costs and a GBP1598 surcharge.

A MAN from Frome was fined for speeding in London. Kierran Gardener, of Critchill Road, appeared at Lavender Hill Magistrates' Court on August 8. The 25-year-old was fined GBP40 and handed 3 penalty points for driving at a speed exceeding 20mph in November 2024.
A MAN from Langport was fined GBP666 for speeding in Plymouth, Devon.
Nicholas Duckett, of Brookland Road, appeared at Bodmin Law Courts on September 3. The 57-year-old also received 6 penalty points for the offence, which took place in November 2024. He was driving at 51mph in a 30mph zone.
Duckett was ordered to pay GBP90 in costs and a GBP266 surcharge.
