Three people taken to hospital after A482 crash north of Lampeter

The man was at the wheel of a white BMW when it was involved in a collision with an articulated lorry on the A482 north of Lampeter. The 4pm crash between Ciliau Aeron and Ystrad Aeron saw the three occupants of the BMW being seriously injured. A Dyfed-Powys Police spokesperson said today, Sunday September 15: "The driver of the BMW and one of the passengers was airlifted to hospital.

The second passenger was taken to hospital by land ambulance. The lorry driver did not sustain any injuries. "The 27-year-old driver of the white BMW was arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving.

"He has been discharged from hospital and is currently in police custody. "The passenger who was airlifted to hospital remains in a critical but stable condition. The second passenger's injuries are described as serious but not life-threatening."

Police are now making an appeal for information that could help them in their investigation of the incident. Officers are particularly keen to hear from anyone who may have witnessed the incident or has dash-cam footage that could support their enquiries.
