Witness appeal after woman dies on M40 as lorry hits pedestrian

A witness appeal has been launched by police after a woman died as she was struck by a lorry while walking on a Midlands motorway.

Emergency services were called to the northbound carriageway of the M40[1] between Junctions 15 for Warwick, Stratford and Coventry and 16 for Henley-in-Arden in Warwickshire[2] shortly after 4.30pm on Wednesday (September 3).

A woman in her 50s, who was described as a pedestrian, was struck by a lorry and died at the scene.
