A429 crash: Teenager dies after Cirencester incident

Emergency services were called to the crash on the A429 Bristol Road in Cirencester, less than half an hour from Swindon, at around 9.45pm on Friday, October 17. The incident involved the driver of a lorry and a 19-year-old man and took place near the Waitrose store. Police have since confirmed that the 19-year-old man died at the scene.

His next of kin have been made aware and are now being supported by specially trained officers. Suggested reading Bristol Road was closed for some time while emergency services worked at the scene but has since been reopened.

Gloucestershire Constabulary is carrying out enquiries into the incident and has appealed for any witnesses to come forward.

A spokesperson for the force said: "Investigating officers are appealing for anyone who was travelling along the A429 between Cirencester Fire Station and Cirencester Hospital roundabouts at approximately 9.30pm last night, and who may have seen a pedestrian in or near the carriageway, to get in touch."
