Holmrook work to install speed camera at ‘high-risk’ spot starts

They added the project was part of efforts to target areas with high collision rates or community-reported concerns.

Work is also under way to install speed cameras on the A6071 at Smithfield, near Brampton, where similar average speeds were recorded as Holmrook.

Cumberland councillor Denise Rollo, executive member for sustainable places, said the projects were "meaningful steps" to prevent accidents.

"These new cameras are a direct response to local concerns and are part of our commitment to making Cumberland's roads safer for everyone," she added.
