Live: Rush-hour crash closes major Plymouth road
A busy road in the city centre was partially closed[1] after a crash this evening (Thursday, October 16). Charles Street was closed near Charles Cross roundabout following a van crash. A witness told PlymouthLive that multiple police vehicles were in the area.
They said: "At least six police cars are rushing down Exeter Street." Roads and traffic monitoring site, Inrix, reported the crash at 5.12pm. It said: "A374 Charles Street eastbound closed, queueing traffic due to accident at Exeter Street.
On the roundabout."
A photograph taken by PlymouthLive reader Dave Batten at around 5pm shows a white van that has crashed through a barrier and appears to be stuck.
