M60 traffic LIVE: Rush hour chaos as crash causes massive queues on two motorways
Two motorways[1] have been plunged into chaos at the height of rush hour after two seperate crashes[2] caused sections of the M60 to close. The first incident is said to have taken place near Denton Island, causing delays[3] on the M60 clockwise this morning, according to Inrix. The second crash happened near Swinton.
Delays are being reported on the M60 anticlockwise, trailing back to junction 19 of the M62 westbound at Heywood. The M61 southbound approaching the Swinton Interchange is also facing queues, as well as the M60 clockwise between junctions 23 at Ashton and 25 at Brinnington.
