Motorist hit with fine for driving at 67mph on motorway

A motorist has been fined for speeding at 67mph on the M4. High Wycombe Magistrates' Court heard how Nathan Williams was driving on the motorway near Slough when he was caught by an automatic speed camera. He was travelling between junctions six and seven in a BMW at the time of the incident on November 26, 2024.

A 50mph limit was in place. The 43-year-old of Bolton Road, Newport admitted a single count of exceeding a variable speed limit. Williams was fined GBP72 and received three points.

He was also ordered to pay a GBP29 surcharge but no order was made for costs.

The money must be paid in full by October 23.
