Trucker ‘assisting police with their enquiries’ after car overturns in A50 crash

A lorry driver is 'assisting police with their enquiries' after a two-vehicle crash left a boy in hospital. A car was left on its side following the collision with a lorry on the A50 eastbound through Normacot.

Police and paramedics were called to the crash at 2.15pm on Thursday 2 October.

A Staffordshire Police[1] spokesman said: "We were called to the A50 eastbound at Normacot following reports of a collision involving a grey Volkswagen and a white HGV. Officers attended the scene alongside colleagues from West Midlands Ambulance Service.

A passenger in the Volkswagen, a boy, was taken to hospital with minor injuries. The driver of the HGV remained at the scene and is assisting us with our enquiries." Advertisement

Police are appealing for witnesses following the collision.

They should call the police on 101, quoting incident number 330 of 2 October.
