Woman fined for driving at 54mph on motorway
Eve Gardiner was behind the wheel of a Fiat on the M27 eastbound when she was clocked speeding by an automatic camera device. The 27-year-old was driving at 54mph between junction ten and nine near Fareham[1] when her speed was recorded. At the time of the incident on March 3, 2025, a 40mph speed restriction was in force on the motorway.
READ MORE: Gang embarked on 'relentless campaign' of burglaries in 25 counties, jury told[2] Gardiner, of Campion Way, Kings Worthy, admitted a charge of exceeding a variable speed limit at Southampton Magistrates' Court on September 29, six months after the offence. She was ordered to pay a fine of GBP100 and given three points on her licence.
Springer was also ordered to pay prosecution costs of GBP50 and a GBP40 surcharge, a total of GBP190 to pay.
This must be paid in full by October 31.
