A45 closed after three cars and a lorry crash

A crash involving three cars and a lorry has closed a busy Northamptonshire dual-carriageway.
National Highways said the A45 was shut at about 12:30 GMT in both directions between the A14 junction 13 for Thrapston and the A6 for Rushden.
Police, fire and paramedics were sent with the Northamptonshire force starting an investigation into the cause.
The road agency said the A45 could be closed throughout Friday.
It said delays were building in the area with up to two miles (3.2km) of congestion on the approach to the eastbound closure.
At about 21:20 National Highways said[1] investigation work was complete with all vehicles involved in the collision recovered and the road had reopened in both directions.
