All we know on M65 slip road closure after lorry overturns

Police received reports of an overturned lorry at the entry slip road, at junction four. Officers received the call at around 8.30am and, at the time of writing, the road remains closed. Recovery work has been taking place throughout the day.

Karl Dearn claims to have witnessed the crash and shared images of a HGV on its side. According to police, the westbound entry slip road at junction four is currently closed. He called the emergency services.

A police spokesperson said: "Please be advised that due to a road traffic collision the westbound entry slip, at junction four of the M65, is currently closed. "The road is likely to remain closed for some time and we will provide an update when the road has been opened. "Call was 8.28am.
