Delays on A249, towards Isle of Sheppey, between Key Street roundabout in Bobbing and Sheppey Crossing after lorry crash
An air ambulance has landed near an A-road after a crash involving a lorry and a digger. The collision happened on the A249, towards Sheppey, between the Key Street roundabout and near to the Sheppey Crossing.

Pictures taken just before 4.10pm from the scene show a lorry jack-knifed on the carriageway. An air ambulance has been sent to the scene alongside firefighters, police and paramedics.
A police spokesman said: "The carriageway is currently closed and drivers are advised to find alternative routes where possible." National Highways advised drivers to use the Kingsferry Bridge just after 5pm. It said there are 45 minutes of delays and four miles of congestion.

Travelmaster bus company took to social media to apologise to its customers just after 4.10pm.
It said: "Many services [are] delayed this evening due to a lorry accident along the A249, which is causing long delays.
"I can only apologise for the inconvenience caused." Traffic reports say traffic is building in Sittingbourne and Iwade village. Kent Highways posted this afternoon: "Reports of an RTC between a lorry and a digger on the A249 Sheppey Crossing.
