A46 stretch closed following three-vehicle crash

A section of the A46 near Syston was closed following a crash.

Leicestershire Police said emergency services were dealing with a collision involving three vehicles on the northbound carriageway, close to the junction with the A607.

The force said it was called to the scene by the ambulance service at 11:20 GMT on Wednesday, with the fire service also in attendance, and the road has since reopened.

It added two of the drivers were uninjured and the third was being assessed.
