M54 traffic: Motorway closed overnight for recovery work after lorry collision

A busy commuter motorway was shut by authorities overnight as a lorry from an earlier crash was recovered. The M54 in Shropshire was closed for recovery of the lorry eastbound between junction three (Albrighton), and junction two (Wolverhampton) for recovery of a HGV that was involved in a crash[1] around 10am on Monday, December 1. National Highways Traffic Officers advised if travelling on the M54[2] you allow extra journey time.
A diversion route was in place and there were delays as the recovery work was completed. This is the second time in one week part of the M54 closed due to a lorry crash.
