Orpington M25 multi-vehicle crash: Man dies

The incident between a white Ford Transit van and a BMW motorbike happened on junction 4 at 4.35pm yesterday (December 17). Emergency services attended the scene, where a man was confirmed dead. His next of kin have been informed.
The driver of the van was located at the scene and is helping police with enquiries. Police are now appealing for information as they carry out an investigation. Anyone who witnessed the incident or saw the van prior to the crash is asked to contact police.

A spokesperson for the Metropolitan Police said: "We are appealing for information following a fatal collision on the M25 "At 4.35pm on Wednesday 17 December 2025, Kent Police was called to a collision between a white Ford Transit van and a BMW motorbike on junction four.
"Officers attended the scene alongside Kent Fire and Rescue Service and South East Coast Ambulance Service, where a man in his 60s was confirmed deceased. "His next of kin have been informed. "The driver of the van was located at the scene and is assisting police with enquiries.
"Officers from Kent Police's Serious Collision Investigation Unit are carrying out an investigation and urge anyone who witnessed the incident, or saw the van prior to the collision, to contact them.
