A thug who stabbed his cousin, another who thought police were doing "the Devil's work" and a ram raider were among offenders locked up in January.
There was also a man who falsely said he had contagious hepatitis, the "worst" dangerous driver and three South Americans who followed a couple in their chauffeur driven car from Manchester Airport to their Wrexham home.

Joshua Partyka

Joshua Partyka, 32, of Woodland Grove, Wrexham has been jailed for three years
A ram raider used a stolen Land Rover to target a shop and a petrol station before he went on to break into a garage to steal GBP15,000 worth of bikes.
Joshua Partyka, 32, of Woodland Grove, Wrexham[2] engaged in a series of robberies which included using a car to ram into two different businesses with the intention of theft.
He then smashed a window to grab GBP15,000 worth of bikes from a store in Holywell[3] in a separate raid.

The spree began on September 10 when Partyka, driving a stolen Land Rover displaying false number plates, caused significant structural damage after crashing into the Premier shop on Victoria Road, Brynteg. He then targeted the Apple Green service station in Mold, where he again used the vehicle to cause damage and proceeded to steal items from within.
Levi Jones

A man stabbed his cousin in a kitchen after a row erupted over cannabis.
Levi Jones had argued over a small amount of the drug then damaged the victim's tools.
But the row escalated and Jones then plunged a breadknife into his victim's back. Caernarfon[6] Crown Court heard Jones, now 20, of Stratford Close, Wrexham[7], poses a high risk of harm to the public.
A judge sent him to a Young Offenders Institution for 14 months for wounding. Four more months in detention from a suspended sentence from an earlier offence were also activated.
Jamie McAdam

Jamie McAdam, 36, of Princes Drive, Colwyn Bay, has been jailed for 14 months for each of four counts of assaulting an emergency worker at Ysbyty Glan Clwyd in Bodelwyddan, with three terms running concurrently -Credit:North Wales Police
A hospital patient lied that he had the contagious disease hepatitis and tried to smear a nurse with blood. Jamie McAdam was abusive to another nurse and aggressive to a porter and security guard who tried to help.

The 36-year-old admitted assaulting four emergency workers at Ysbyty Glan Clwyd in Bodelwyddan. In January a judge at Caernarfon[8] Crown Court[9] jailed him for 14 months for each assault.
Prosecutor Amy Edwards said McAdam, of Princes Drive, Colwyn Bay, had been admitted to the hospital on December 5. He had taken a suspected an opiod and was treated. But he became abusive calling a member of staff a "s***" and another one a "d***". [10][11]

Three burglars followed a couple from Manchester Airport to their Wrexham[12] home and stole a valuable briefcase.
They had hired a vehicle to follow their victims' chauffeur-driven car.
Then they pinched the luggage from a property while its owner was unpacking, Caernarfon[13] Crown Court[14] heard. One of the burglars - a Cuban national living in Guatemala - had travelled from France to the UK in a small boat and entered the country illegally. Advertisement

A judge said their crime had had a considerable effect on the victims.
The men, who admitted burglary, were all jailed for two years and are likely to be deported.
Dale Broome

Dale Broome, 29, of Uplands Avenue, Portobello, Wolverhampton, was jailed for 16 months for dangerous driving plus four months concurrent for driving whilst disqualified and four months concurrent for failing to stop at the scene of an accident -Credit:North Wales Police
A dangerous driver drove the wrong way on the A55 and A525 and at 100mph on 20mph roads. He was only stopped when his car got stuck in mud on an embankment and a pursuing officer prepared to Taser him.
A judge branded it the worst case of such driving without casualties she had ever seen. She said it was a "miracle" no-one was killed or seriously injured and jailed him for 16 months.[15]
Dale Broome, 29, admitted five driving offences and was jailed at Caernarfon[16] Crown Court[17] for 16 months. Prosecutor Michael Whitty said an off duty detective had been at an event in St Asaph[18] last December 9 and was driving his BMW car on the A55[19] to his home at 9.30pm.

A man from Anglesey who recorded what is believed to be one of the highest alcohol readings ever recorded by North Wales Police has been jailed.
Aaron Kerr, 27, of Maes y Brenin, Holyhead gave a reading of 358milligrames of alcohol in 100ml of blood - the legal limit is 80, a North Wales Police statement said - more than four times the legal limit.[20][21][22][23] Advertisement Advertisement

It added: "Kerr was arrested last July near Llanfaelog after North Wales Police had received several reports from concerned members of the public who were reporting a red Vauxhall Viva being 'all over the road.' An officer from the Roads Crime Unit was nearby at the time and made his way to the Rhosneigr area where he witnessed the car being driven in an abhorrent manner.
"The car was stopped and the officer arrested Kerr after he gave a roadside breath test reading of 212microgrammes - the legal limit is 35microgrammes of alcohol per 100 millilitres of breath. Due to the high level of alcohol, Kerr was immediately taken to hospital where blood was obtained and sent away to be further examined

A man launched a "cowardly" hammer attack on his victim after a falling out between children.
Jordan Chandramohan left his victim with a fractured skull, a court heard.
The 32-year-old, of Bromfield Park, Mold[24], was convicted of wounding with intent. A judge today jailed him for five years. Mold Crown Court heard there had been a falling out between children at a park in Greenfield near Holywell[25] in Flintshire[26] on March 31, 2023.

The judge His Honour Rhys Rowlands said it was over "something of nothing" but parents became involved. Later there was a confrontation[27] in the street between Chandramohan and the father of one of the boys. Chandramohan "armed himself with a hammer".
Kevin Humphrey Jones

A man bit off part of a police officer's ear as he was being arrested. Officers had been called to deal with an alleged domestic violence incident in Dwyran on Anglesey[28] when Kevin Jones assaulted the officer.
The 40-year-old admitted unlawfully and maliciously wounding PC James Marsden with intent to resist or prevent himself being apprehended.
A judge at Mold[29] Crown Court[30] jailed Jones, of Dwyran, Llanfairpwllgwyngyll, for three years and four months.
Prosecutor John Philpotts said police were called to an incident of alleged domestic disorder in Stad Penrhyn in Dwyran on Sunday, December 8 at 12.30am. They wanted to speak to the defendant who was in the hall, and decided it would be easier to "subdue" him in the sitting room, said Mr Philpotts.

Justin Harvey

A woman suffered a string of injuries during a campaign of abuse by her violent, former partner. The victim, who said she was "blinded by love", sustained a damaged foot ligament and broken finger in separate incidents at the hands of Justin Harvey. Advertisement

She had to give up work as a hairdresser as it was too painful to stand on her injured foot. In other incidents, Harvey threw a cigarette at her face, went into a pub with a bat and left her financially ruined.[33]
Harvey, 35, of Tan y Efail, Holyhead, admitted engaging in controlling and coercive behaviour.

Lee Kutryk

A street robber said "I will cut you over this" as he demanded his victim's phone. The victim thought Lee Kutryk had showed him the handle of a machete sticking out of his trousers, but it was actually "sticks," the court heard.
The defendant fled with the victim's iPhone. Police were called after the "frightening" incident outside the White Rose shopping centre in Rhyl and the defendant, 30, of no fixed address, was arrested.

A judge at Mold[38] Crown Court[39] jailed him for 18 months for robbery. Prosecutor Maria Masselis said Kutryk cycled up to a group of four people outside the main entrance of the shopping centre[40] at 7pm on December 3.
Carl Bambrough

A man thought police officers who came to help him were "working for the Devil". Carl Bambrough had to be Tasered twice as he was arrested.
A judge at Mold Crown Court[41] jailed the 35-year old, of no fixed address, for 12 months for affray, and six months for assaulting an emergency worker to run concurrently.
Prosecutor Danny Smith said police had received a report that the defendant had a knife and was threatening to end his life[42] on July 28 last year.
Four officers went to the scene in St David's Crescent, Wrexham, and found the defendant in a front garden in a quiet, suburban area. Bambrough seemed intoxicated and police searched him but no knife was found, the court heard.

A judge at Mold[44] Crown Court[45] said the 38-year-old's offence had to be marked by an immediate custodial sentence. He jailed him for 15 months.

Maredudd Francis

A former rugby player turned drug dealer drove at up to 139mph on a motorway as he tried to escape police. Packages were thrown out of his car before he collided with another car, injuring its passenger.
Maredudd Francis, 31, a former RGC rugby team captain, admitted possession with intent to supply cocaine and cannabis and dangerous driving[48].

A judge told him he should know the harm drugs cause. Prosecutor Joshua Gorst told how a police officer on mobile patrol, acting on information that it may be involved in drug offending, decided to stop a grey BMW car[51] on the M56 motorway on Sunday, September 29 last year.

Caernarfon Crown Court heard Jones, of Maesincla Lane, Caernarfon, had been in a shop on Bridge Street in Caernarfon on August 2 last year. decided it would be easier to "subdue" him in the sitting room, said Mr Philpotts.
