Tragedy as man, 26, dies after being hit by HGV on A540 in Chester

Police are appealing for information after a 26-year-old man died following a collision in Chester[1]. Emergency services were called to the incident on the A540 Parkgate Road near Mollington at around 10.50am on Friday.

The collision involved a HGV and a pedestrian. Sadly, the pedestrian - aged 26 - was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the HGV is assisting officers with their enquiries.

Sergeant Amy Hollis said: "We have launched an investigation into the exact circumstances surrounding this incident and as such, we are now appealing for anyone who witnessed what happened and has not already spoken to police to get in touch with us.

"The same goes for anyone with any dashcam footage which could assist us.
