A biker and his pillion-riding passenger were killed when their motorcycle was involved in a tragic three-vehicle crash just days before Christmas[1].

The two victims, a man and woman, both in their 30s, were both confirmed dead at the scene of the collision near Pembury, Kent on Saturday evening.

The collision occurred at around 6.40pm on the A228 Pembury Northern Bypass, close to the junction for Old Church Road.

Police are seeking dashcam of the incident, which involved a black Triumph motorcycle and a light-coloured Jaguar car which were both travelling towards Tunbridge Wells, and a silver Ford van heading in the opposite direction.

Emergency services, including police and ambulance crews, attended the site of the crash but were unable to save the motorcycle passengers.

Next of kin have been informed but Kent Police have yet to release the names of the deceased.

Police were at the scene on Sunday while the crash was investigated, Kent Online reported.

However, Kent County Council's Highway department announced before 5pm that the A228 has now fully reopened, the local news site said.
