Witness plea after lorry driver dies in M6 crash

Police have appealed for witnesses after a lorry driver was killed in a crash on the M6 motorway.
The 47-year-old man had stopped his lorry on the hard shoulder between junctions one (near Rugby) and junction two on Monday 8 December.
"A short time later the driver of a white Scania HGV with a blue curtain sided trailer is believed to have driven into the red HGV," said Warwickshire Police.
The force wants to hear from anyone who saw the crash, which happened at about 18:30 GMT, or the white HGV prior to the incident.
"If anyone witnessed the collision, saw the white HGV leading up to the collision, has any dashcam footage or other information that could help with our inquiries please call 101," the appeal said.
The family of the man who died are being supported by specially-trained officers, the force added.
