Woman dies after being struck by van on A-road

The crash, involving a pedestrian and a white van, took place on the A44 at Chadbury on Monday, December 22.
Emergency services were called to the crash at around 7.40am.
The pedestrian, a woman aged in her 70s, was struck by the van and pronounced dead at the scene.
A 54-year-old woman has been arrested on suspicion of causing death by careless driving.
She has been released under investigation while enquiries continue.
West Mercia Police are appealing for information from anyone who witnessed the incident.
Sergeant Emma Breay from the Operational Policing Unit said: "Our thoughts and condolences are with the family and loved ones of the woman who sadly passed away.

"An arrest was made at the scene and that person is assisting with our enquiries.
"We are keen to hear from anyone who witnessed the collision, may have dashcam footage of the incident, or saw a woman walking along the road prior to the incident."
