A woman in her 80s sustained a serious injury after being struck by a vehicle that failed to stop. The incident happened at around 4.15pm on Friday (December 5).

The victim was struck by the vehicle at a Zebra crossing on the A30 London Road between Bracknell and Ascot.

The driver of the car did not stop at the scene, Thames Valley Police said.

It is not currently known the make and model of the car involved, but may be a small silver vehicle.

The pedestrian was taken to hospital with serious injuries, where she remains at this time.

Investigating officer PC Anthony Gibson of the Roads Policing Unit said: "This collision has occurred on a pedestrian crossing resulting in serious injuries.

"I am appealing to anybody who witnessed the collision or who may have been driving in the area and has dash-cam footage, to please get in touch with Thames Valley Police."
