AI channel creates GTA6 Scotland Edition trailer with Tennent’s heist and Navid’s shop being held up

It's one of the world's hottest trending game series, with its latest instalment set to be released later this year.

Scotland-based games developer Rockstar has teased fans with a planned release date for November 2026 after more than a few delays, leading to gamers rabidly awaiting any news or trailers.

Not content to wait, one Scottish AI content creator has gone one step further and created their own take on the franchise - Grand Theft Auto 6 Scotland Edition. Advertisement Advertisement

The incredible clip, posted on social media sites like Instagram and TikTok, has had tens of thousands of views takes fans on a whirlwind tour of a Scottish version of the huge game.

And even though we aren't huge fans of AI generated content, even we were impressed.

Posting the epic video, which features a character called Lucy and has a soundtrack by Tom Petty, on Instagram they stated: "If this dropped tomorrow... would you play it?"

The made-up trailer features everything from the Welcome to Scotland and Aberdeen signs to the Scottish Parliament and the V&A in Dundee. Advertisement

And yes, of course, Glasgow features heavily, with brilliant nods to the pigeon that now famous replaced the Duke's cone, Ashton Lane, an Old Firm match, and of course, Best Kebab.

It even features car chases through the M8 at the Kingston Bridge, and even a stolen Tennent's truck tearing away from police at the Wellpark Brewery.

Even Still Game's Navid makes an appearance, with the much-loved shop owner being held up by a masked thug.

One fan posted: "Best game trailer I've seen."

Another added: "Given GTA is Scottish born. Fitting."

"This is outstanding! I can't imagine how hard this would have been to prompt with AI!

So accurate." gushed a third.
