Edinburgh M90 crash triggers delays for drivers as car left wrecked on carriageway

A crash on Edinburgh's M90 near Kirkliston saw delays for motorists during rush-hour on Thursday morning. The incident, which saw the busy motorway near Junction 1a Southbound partially blocked, took place at around 8.42am on Thursday, January 22.

The condition of those involved in the incident is currently not known, though images show a black Mazda with extensive damage to the passenger side's front bumper. Advertisement

In the photos, the car can be seen straddling two lanes, while an individual walks away from the vehicle.

A lorry has also come to a stop in the foreground.

Traffic Scotland shared news of the crash on their website, confirming that a section of the road was blocked off by the incident at around 8.42am.

Police Scotland has been approached for comment.
