Full police statement after man arrested following stolen Royal Mail van crash

A man has been arrested following a crash involving a stolen Royal Mail van.
Marine Drive - the A259 - has been closed due to the incident this evening which is being investigated by police.
Sussex Police has since issued a statement about what happened.

"A man has been arrested, and a temporary road closure is in place while we investigate this incident."

Royal Mail said it could not comment due to the ongoing police investigation.
