GTA VI trailer reimagined in Scotland by AI channel including Aberdeen and Tennent’s heist

One of the most anticipated games[1] of all time is on the horizon, and fans have been counting down the days until potentially the biggest release in gaming history.

Grand Theft Auto VI[2] is due to release in November 2026 after more than a handful of delays, with gamers eagerly awaiting any new trailers from Scotland[3]-based developer Rockstar[4].

But, not content to wait, the lengthy hold up for the newest GTA has led to a Scottish AI content creator reimagining the viral trailer as if it was set right here in Scotland. Advertisement Advertisement

The incredible clip of 'Grand Theft Auto 6 Scotland Edition' has gone viral on Instagram and TikTok[5] with tens of thousands of views, reports Glasgow Live[6].

And it even features Aberdeen's[7] 'Hollywood letters' as well as some of the country's most iconic landmarks, including Glasgow's River Clyde, Edinburgh's Princes Street and the V&A Museum in Dundee.

Posting the epic video, which features a character called Lucy and has a soundtrack by Tom Petty, on Instagram they stated: "If this dropped tomorrow... would you play it?"

The made-up trailer features everything including brilliant nods to the pigeon that now famous replaced the Duke's cone, an Old Firm match, and of course, plenty of crime synonymous with the Grand Theft Auto games. Advertisement

It even features car chases through the M8 at the Kingston Bridge, and even a stolen Tennent's truck tearing away from police at the Wellpark Brewery.

Even Still Game's Navid makes an appearance, with the much-loved shop owner being held up by a masked thug.

One fan posted: "Best game trailer I've seen." Another added: "Given GTA is Scottish born.

Fitting."

So accurate." gushed a third.
